Keepers at Home Club

The "Keepers at Home" is a  club whose purpose is to follow in the steps of Jesus and to "have a teachable spirit to master different crafts and skills which will enable each girl to become a competent, well-balanced Christian girl who loves God and who will one day be a helpmeet and keeper at home."(from Keepers at Home handbook).

The club grows and learns together in seven different categories

  1. Biblical Girlhood

  2. Creative skills

  3. Homemaking

  4. Nature

  5. Knowledge

  6. Serving others

  7. Recreational activities

There are over 100 different skills and achievements. Here are a few examples: scrap-booking, cake decorating, first aid, archery, Proverbs 31 study for girls, drawing, camping, candymaking, cooking, budgeting, card-making, mosaics, teaching, Bible memorization, and more... Award pins are given upon completion of various achievements in different skills.

Mothers should attend all meetings with their daughters. If that is not possible it is acceptable to send a substitute such as an aunt, grandmother etc...The point is, this is a program that is to be enjoyed together.

All girls and their mothers who attend the meetings are expected to act in a godly manner. This includes modest dress and treating others with the love, kindness and respect that Jesus expects.
